Operation Clean Sweep: Join a local park litter pick
Care for a shared green space alongside a local group or an organised clean-up.
Purpose
A small, practical act can strengthen the everyday relationships and shared places on which civic life depends.
Instructions
- Find an organised local litter pick and check what equipment and permissions it provides.
- Keep it voluntary, lawful and respectful. Stop if anyone is uncomfortable or the situation feels unsafe.
Safety & good sense
Use an organised event or obtain permission for the site. Follow the organiser’s instructions, wear suitable gloves, and do not handle needles, chemicals, broken glass, or other hazardous waste.
