About
Ordinary acts. A rather more dramatic briefing.
RoundStone is the working name for an initiative that encourages people to take responsibility for themselves, their relationships and their communities. Ripple is a placeholder name for its online platform. Both names can change in the site configuration.
Why it exists
Positive change begins with the individual and moves through relationships and communities toward the country. The Five Circles of Citizenship are a framework for taking practical responsibility at each level.
What we value
Care, clarity, reciprocity, accountability, and constructive action. The point is not to feel good about being civic; it is to make daily life more trustworthy, resilient, and connected.
A movement rooted in real life
The presentation borrows the visual language of old recruitment posters and field briefings, with a knowing British wink. The rebellion is theatrical; the missions are peaceful, lawful and positive. This is not a real underground organisation, and the purpose should never be in doubt.
The website is a departure point, not a destination. Browse a briefing, accept a mission without registering, go and do something useful, then report back if you wish. The first release is designed for adults aged 18 and over across the UK, with early participation and feedback focused on Buxton, Whaley Bridge, High Peak and nearby communities.
