Check in with someone who may be feeling isolated
Offer a respectful conversation or practical help to someone with whom you already have a connection.
Purpose
A small, practical act can strengthen the everyday relationships and shared places on which civic life depends.
Instructions
- Send a friendly, low-pressure message and ask whether they would welcome a chat or a hand with something.
- Keep it voluntary, lawful and respectful. Stop if anyone is uncomfortable or the situation feels unsafe.
Safety & good sense
Offer support without pressure or assumptions, and respect the person’s boundaries and privacy. Do not promise professional or emergency care; if someone appears to be in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.
